Sinossi

Vasso is the eldest child of many, born to her parents Amalia and Aristos and living in Athens. In the late 1930s she is still a young child, so when her parents start attempting to destroy Vasso's virtue by offering her company to older men, she runs away and takes refuge with her uncle. However, Aristos and Amalia are not discouraged and attempt the same with Anna and Olga, Vasso's sisters. Can they find the strength - and should they - to turn in their parents to the authorities? How can you betray those who raised you? And can they ever find true love after all they have suffered and known? Set against the backdrop of political unrest and eventual war, The Angels Fly High will teach all never to give up hope of a happy ending. Lia Glykiadou White was born in Vathi on Samos, a Greek island in the Aegean Sea. After her graduation she worked as a school teacher in a high school in Arta in the north-west of Greece.
