Julia Lawless promotes the aromatherapy garden as a means to health, well-being and enjoyment. Beginning with the ancient vision of the aromatic garden as an 'earthly' paradise, it contemplates the roles (medicinal, therapeutic and aesthetic) that scented plants have played throughout history and continue to play today.
L'autore
Raised within the tradition of herbal and folk remedies, Julia Lawless later studied both Western and Tibetan herbal medicine. Today, she is a qualified aromatherapist, runs the family aromatherapy practice, Aqua Oleum, in North London and is a passionate gardener. Highly respected in her field, Julia has lectured internationally on aromatic plants and oils and is the author of several books including the best-selling The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Essential Oils (Element) and The Natural Paint Book (Kyle Cathie).
