Maurice Irfan Coles is Chief Executive of the School Development Support Agency. A Muslim convert, he specializes in issues related to education and Islam. He is founder of the Local Authority network for schools with significant numbers of Muslim pupils, is the Muslim education specialist on the Archbishop of Canterbury's Christian/Muslim Forum, and the author of numerous articles on education, race and faith equality.
