"Izzy Baia" is the phrase chanted by Brian O'Connor, a 16-year old autistic to his carer, Kevin Whelan. This is Whelan's account of the obsessive logic and ritualistic existence of a sufferer from autism and of the questions it poses about what is meant by what we call "normal".
