Chairman of the Component Vendor Consortium (CVC) Quality Committee, he writes regularly for leading Visual Basic magazines VBPJ and BackOffice. Marquis was co-author of The Visual Basic 6.0 Bible. He and Eric Smith are co-authors of A Visual Basic 6.0 Programmer's Toolkit, published by Apress in 2000.
