Phytic acid is the principal storage form of phosphorus in plant seeds Phytic acid, mostly as phytate in the form of phytin, is found within the hulls and kernels of seeds, including nuts, grains, and pulses. Food preparation techniques may break down the phytic acid in all of these foods.
