Dalla quarta di copertina
Meet Mark and Jeremy: two very ordinary weirdos. Mark, a middle-aged man trapped in a twentysomething's body, is the sensible one - a loan manager who got seven GCSEs ('back when a GCSE still meant something'). Jez, his flatmate, is a grade-A, work-shy freeloader with dodgy mates, who dreams of being a world-class rock star but can't seem to get out of bed in the morning. They hate themselves, the world and each other. This is their story.
Now commissioned for a sixth series, the BAFTA award-winning Peep Show has gained both cult status and critical acclaim. Here, Sam Armstrong and Jesse Bain, the creators and writers of the show, have pulled together the scripts from all five previous series of this twisted cult comedy with hilarious new material - school reports, suggested playlists, interview transcripts and even business tips - to take us even deeper into the warped minds of our socially inept heroes and their slightly strange friends. To top it all off, there is a whole chapter in which our authors describe how each episode evolves from a sheet of scrawled notes through its many script drafts to the polished, laugh out-loud funny, hide-behind-your-hands cringe worthy half-hour of TV that appears on our screens.
Peep Show: The Scripts and More is an example of British comedy scriptwriting at its very best, and will allow you to relive the muckiest, darkest and most outrageous moments of your favourite TV show, over and over again.
