David Yarrow's interest in and talent for photography emerged at an early age. As a 20-year-old, whilst still a student at Edinburgh University, he had already been named Young Scottish Photographer of the Year and covered the Mexico World Cup finals for the Times. His shot of Maradona holding the trophy aloft has become an iconic image of that tournament and David went on to photograph over 200 international football matches. As an accredited photographer for Allsports, later part of Getty Images, David covered a multitude of sporting events, including the 1988 Winter Olympic Games in Calgary, the world ski championships and the U.S. Masters.
