Jack Byard lives in Bradford with his wife Elaine. Now retired, Jack spent his working life as a Rolls-Royce workshop technician and jewellery craftsman. Having always had a love of animals, Jack seized retirement as his opportunity to write about them, beginning in 2008 with Know Your Sheep.
