Colette Sensier was born in Brighton in 1988, studied English at Kings’ College, Cambridge, and lived for short periods in Crete and Bulgaria. While at school she won the Foyle’s, Peterloo and Tower poetry prizes. Currently she lives and work in Norwich, studying the MA in Creative Writing (Prose) and developing a novel she worked on with the help of Spread the Word’s ‘Flight’ mentorship scheme. Colette’s work has featured in Oxfam’s Asking a Shadow to Dance, New Writing South’s Poetry South East 2010, Salt’s Best British Poetry 2011 and Salt Book of Younger Poets and Eyewear’s Lung Jazz, as well as various magazines, and she writes regularly for Poetry News magazine. Her debut pamphlet, How Many Camels Is Too Many?, was published by Holdfire Press in 2012.
