'Forever Hope' is a powerful and poignant story of a cancer patient's journey through diagnosis, treatment and recovery, and the strength to face each day guided by her faith in God. As a fellow cancer survivor and a chief executive officer of one of the nation's largest healthcare systems, I can attest to the fears, emotions, and challenges of being diagnosed with cancer that Laura Shook so eloquently captures in 'Forever Hope'. This book is a 'must read' for any cancer patient or individual supporting a loved one with cancer. - Dan Wolterman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Memorial Hermann Healthcare System

Laura Shook has written a book that bridges oceans and cultures. After serving nearly a decade as a missionary in Mexico, she returned to Houston, Texas, where she founded Community of Faith with her husband Mark and three children. In ten years, the church has grown to over 8,000 people in worship and has been listed among the top 100 churches in the country. Laura encourages people in Houston and around the world, and sets the tone for the international ministries of the church as a tireless advocate for the broken and forgotten. Laura is a gifted speaker and teacher. She is a graduate of Baylor University and is a Registered Nurse. A cancer survivor, Laura lives each day committed to loving people and living full-out for Christ. 'Forever Hope,' an adaptation of her popular online diary, recounts the story of her journey from diagnosis to recovery in words full of wit, song, praise, and everyday humanity.
