Linda Blair's career was mapped out for her from an early age. In elementary school in her home town of Topeka, Kansas, she was cast as a psychiatrist in her first play. Armed with a love of words and of trying to understand what makes us the way we are, she later moved to Boston where she studied psychology at Wellesley College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa.
Linda then moved to England to work with zoologists at the University of Cambridge, studying mother-infant relationships in rhesus monkeys. When she was awarded a full scholarship to study for her PhD in child psychology at Harvard, she moved back to the US.
Linda trained as a clinical psychologist at the Institute of Psychiatry in London and has worked as a clinical psychologist for over 35 years. During those years she also developed her skills as an author, journalist, broadcaster and speaker.
Linda has written five books and pens a regular column for the Daily Telegraph, broadcasts on radio, appears on TV, and is in demand an event and festival speaker.
