Senior business executive David Holmes has seen firsthand the mistakes hundreds of job candidates have made in the interview process. In this fundamental resource, he incorporates this experience to help readers fashion an individualized, workable solution to interview challenges. The guide discusses how to build a disciplined, systematic approach to interviewing; how to avoid common interview mistakes; how to learn proprietary, innovative techniques such as personal scripts, the “chair-flying” practice method, world-class research frameworks, checklists, and timelines; and how to construct a real-world résumé, study sample mock interview sessions, and develop a follow-up plan. Whether they are currently unemployed, changing careers, entering or graduating from college, or leaving the military, readers will benefit from the wisdom collected in this book.
