Sinossi
Susannah Brockman was unaware when she left on a traveling vacation with her two close friends that she was being pursued; had no idea of the dangers she and her friends would face... Or that she would soon be under the protective custody of the one man she had tried hard to avoid; Cade Candlewood. Cade, along with Susannah's brother Brock, worked for a special security unit of the US Government. When Brock is brutally attacked and Susannah's life is threatened by a revengeful convict, Cade immediately goes after her, hoping and praying he can get her first. It is a race against time and though he, by luck, succeeds the imminent dangers are not over.
Susannah rebels against Cade's protective custody until more violent attacks make her realize that the threats to her life - and Cade's - are very real. Moved to a safe location by Cade's chief, Susannah waits out her fears and the still present danger with Cade, the man she finds she still has deep feelings for.
