Sinossi

Ruminations is a heartfelt collection of poetry and stories by Kristianna Lingenfelter, a student at Indiana University Bloomington studying Dietetics and Neuroscience. Drawing from her personal journey of overcoming restrictive disordered eating, Roo explores themes of healing, self-discovery, and the connection between the mind and body.
The pieces in this collection were written over four years, blending abstract poetry and vivid storytelling. Roo’s unique style captures her emotions and reflections on life, using creative forms and rhythmic language. The final story, Hiraeth, represents her journey of letting go of the past and embracing a brighter future.
Through her work, Roo hopes to inspire understanding about the challenges of disordered eating and its impact on both mental and physical health. Ruminations is a moving and relatable read for anyone interested in personal growth, poetry, and the resilience of the human spirit.
