Now the chair of the English Department at Montmore College in northern Minnesota, the professor volunteers to help a colleague clear his name of divulging national security secrets. Once more the professor finds danger. In the second story, the professor takes a well-deserved sabbatical in New York to write a book and his wife, Sarah, joins him. While the professor focuses on writing his book and teaching his classes, Sarah tries to help a new friend and draws them all into a life-threatening situation.
