Sinossi
This is a brief primer in the science of logic, mantiq, which is intended to serve as an introduction to the basic terms and concepts of this science which are often mentioned in the texts of the earlier scholars. It has been written as a hybrid between the mantiq primers studied in madaris and formal logics studied outside of madaris. To keep this book as brief as possible, we have sufficed on a single example for each concept and not included exercises. We have used the English terms in the main text and placed the corresponding Arabic term in the footnotes. There is also an index at the end with reference to all the key terms.
