Sir Isaac Newton né le 25 décembre 1642 et mort le 20 mars 1727 est un philosophe, mathématicien, physicien, alchimiste, astronome et théologien anglais. C’est une figure emblématique de la Science, il est surtout reconnu pour avoir fondé la mécanique classique, et pour sa théorie de la gravitation universelle. En optique,il a découvert la décomposition du spectre lumineux et inventé un téléscope.
