Il a reçu le Book of the Year Award pour son premier roman, Three Dollar et le Steele Rudd Award pour son recueil de nouvelle The Reasons I Won't be Comming. Un film tiré de Three Dollars est en cours de réalisation. Elliot Perman vit à Melbourne, où il est avocat. i
