Philippe Boxis, est un autodidacte. Les cordes sont omniprésentes dans sa vie. La beauté, la vulnérabilité de la femme attachée le font fantasmer. Inspiré par l'iconographie du bondage japonais, c'est finalement très tard, à cinquante ans, qu'il décide d'aller au Japon découvrir les maîtres de son art. Une véritable révélation : il met enfin un nom sur ce qu'il a toujours ressenti au plus profond de lui. Commence alors pour Philippe une nouvelle vie. Désormais, il va allier photographie et shibari... ou plutôt, mettre la photographie au service de son art, dans le but de partager avec le plus grand nombre.
