<div>The goal of this textbook is to provide enough background into the inner workings of the Internet to allow a novice to understand how the various protocols on the Internet work together to accomplish simple tasks, such as a search. <div>Gerry Howser is Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (MS&T). While at Kalamazoo College he was the course designer and instructor for "Computer Networking and the Internet" and "Building the INTERNET in a Room" as well as instructor for "Design and Analysis of Algorithms".
