Diccon Bewes grew up in Britain but went travelling as often as he could. He has lived in Bern since 2005 and written eight books about his new homeland (he is now Swiss). His bestselling titles include Swiss Watching, Slow Train to Switzerland, How to be Swiss and Cartographica Helvetica. For many years, he has been the proud owner of a GA (the annual Swiss travel pass) and travels everywhere by public transport.
