Die Artikel dieses Bandes wollen zu einem besseren Verständnis der Sprache der Septuaginta und des biblischen Griechisch insgesamt beitragen. Zahlreiche sprachliche Merkmale der Septuaginta lassen sich besser auf dem Hintergrund des Wortschatzes und der stilistischen Phänomene der zeitgenössischen Papyri und der hellenistischen Literatur erklären.
