Informazioni sull'autore
Alice Ekert-Rotholz wurde am 5. September 1900 in Hamburg geboren. Von 1939 bis 1952 lebte sie in Bangkok und unternahm auch später zahlreiche Reisen nach Asien, Australien und zu den Karibischen Inseln. 1952 kehrte sie nach Hamburg zurück, ehe sie, nach dem Tod ihres Mannes, 1959 nach London übersiedelte. Dort starb sie am 17. Juni 1995. 1954 legte sie ihren ersten Roman „Reis aus Silberschalen“ vor, der zu einem Welterfolg wurde. Es folgten, ebenfalls bei Hoffmann und Campe, zahlreiche erfolgreiche Romane wie „Wo Tränen verboten sind“ (1956), „Strafende Sonne – lockender Mond“ (1959), „Mohn in den Bergen“ (1961) und „Nur eine Tasse Tee“ (1984). Alice Ekert-Rotholz verstarb am 17. Juni 1995.
