Informazioni sugli autori
Virginie Despentes, Jahrgang 1969, zunächst bekannt als Autorin der »Skandalbücher« »Baise-moi – Fick mich« und »King Kong Theorie«, hat sich spätestens mit ihren Vernon-Subutex-Romanen in den Olymp der französischen Schriftsteller:innen geschrieben. Sie ist eine der wichtigsten literarischen Stimmen Frankreichs. Ihr Roman Apocalypse Baby wurde mit dem Prix Renaudot ausgezeichnet.
Claudia Steinitz übersetzt seit 30 Jahren französischsprachige Literatur u.a. von Yannick Haenel, Véronique Olmi, Albertine Sarrazin und Lyonel Trouillot.
