Judith Merchant ist Literaturwissenschaftlerin und unterrichtete zehn Jahre lang Creative Writing an der Universität Bonn. Heute arbeitet sie als Dozentin und Moderatorin für alles, was mit Büchern zu tun hat, und leitet fünf Lesezirkel. Für ihre Kurzgeschichten wurde sie zweimal mit dem Friedrich-Glauser-Preis ausgezeichnet. Nach der Veröffentlichung ihrer Rheinkrimi-Serie erschien 2019 der Thriller »ATME!« bei Kiepenheuer & Witsch und wurde zum Bestseller. 2021 folgte »SCHWEIG!«.
