Informazioni sugli autori
Jim Dodge wurde 1945 in Kalifornien geboren. Er schrieb Gedichte und Essays. Nachdem er mit 1983 mit "Fup" einen Durchbruch erlebte, gelten seine Bücher heute in Amerika als Kultklassiker. Dodge lehrt Creative Writing an der Humboldt State University.
Thomas Pynchon wurde 1937 in Long Island geboren. Sein einziger öffentlicher Auftritt fand 1953 an der Oyster Bay High School in Long Island statt. Er studierte Physik und Englisch an der Cornell University, später schrieb er für Boeing technische Handbücher und verschwand. Seither sind seine Bücher (u.a. „Die Enden der Parabel“; „V“; „Gegen den Tag“) die einzigen öffentlichen Spuren seiner Existenz. Pynchon gilt als einer der bedeutendsten englischsprachigen Schriftsteller der Gegenwart. Er lebt in New York.
