This book deals with the design of pulsed, non-destructive coils for the generation of high magnetic fields. Its purpose is to provide the designer of a pulsed field facility, the curious student, and the scientist with a concise and comprehensive text describing every aspect of coil construction. Special emphasis is placed on first-order calculations, which allow estimations with pencil and paper and are important for an understanding of the basic design principles.
