Two techniques had to be developed and are now fruitfully used to keep analytic and synthetic processes feasible: composition and - straction.Acompositionalapproachbuildssystemsbycomposingsubsystems that are smaller and more easily understood or built. Abstraction simpli es unimportantmattersandputstheemphasisoncrucialparametersofsystems.
