Making the Link enters the debate by asking some hard-hitting questions about the role and responsibilities of teachers in arresting the spread of HIV/AIDS and it suggests an inter-disciplinary approach to addressing HIV/AIDS awareness in the secondary curriculum. Making the Link addresses questions such as: What do teachers think about addressing HIV/AIDS through the curriculum? What is an inter-disciplinary approach to the teaching and learning about HIV/AIDS? What should be included in an inter-disciplinary approach to HIV/AIDS?

Jacques Mostert has worked as a teacher for over 16 years in South Africa and the UK. He completed B. Ed (Hons), MA in Education in curriculum design and Ph. D in the Psychology of Education at the University of Johannesburg. He specializes in working with Behavioral, Emotional and Social Difficulties and currently works in the United Kingdom.
