It can be concluded that MES-solutions are a very useful tool to record data in the manufacturing processes. The market analysis has shown some interesting insights in the MES market. For the cluster analysis, a large amount of secondary data were collected from several sources and described. By using the clustering methods in SPSS Statistics, the market analysis was conducted, to group products with similar characteristics into individual segments. Consequently the different segments were described and compared to each other.
