This book constitutes the proceedings of the KR4HC 2009 workshop held at AIME 2009 in Verona, Italy, in July 2009. It is the result of merging two workshops series, namely one on computerized guidelines and protocols and the other one on knowledge management for health care procedures. The 11 workshop papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 23 submissions. In addition the book contains 4 invited papers on state-of-the-art results in the field.
