Dipl. Inform. Jürgen Hedderich ist Leiter des Fachbereiches Biometrie und statistische Auswertungsprogramme am Institut für Medizinische Informatik und Statistik an der Christian-Albrechts-Universität in Kiel.  Er war lange Zeit verantwortlich für die Organisation und Durchführung der Vorlesungen und Übungen zur Biometrie (Biomathematik für Mediziner). Schwerpunkt seiner Tätigkeit ist seit 20 Jahren die biometrischen Beratung und  Anwendung von Statistiksoftware bei der Realisierung klinischer und anderer Studien, wobei konzeptionelle und datananalytische Aspekte dominieren.  Dies führte zu einer Koautorenschaft in zahlreichen wissenschaftlichen Publikationen.Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Lothar Sachs, Emeritus am Institut für Medizinische Informatik und Statistik der Universität Kiel, hat sich als Professor für Medizinische Statistik und Epidemiologie für Neuentwicklungen der statistischen Methodik interessiert und sie für Anwender "genießbar" aufbereitet, über den Rahmen der Medizin hinaus und vier weitere Lehrbücher der Statistik veröffentlicht; Übersetzungen ins Amerikanische, Russische, Spanische und Ungarische liegen vor.
