This book is based on the problems and prospective of Drip irrigation in Rajasthan. Drip irrigation is an effective method of providing irrigation water directly into soil at the root zone of plants. This system has a tremendous scope in Rajasthan, which is already confronting with the problems of water scarcity. Therefore, government of Rajasthan has given more emphasis on popularization of this technology among the farmers.For this, Government has also made a provision of loans and subsidies on the purchase of drip irrigation system to the farmers but still farmers are facing certain problems in a drip irrigation system. Water is having a vital role in agriculture as well as in day to day life. Scarcity of water for irrigation in southern Rajasthan creating a big challenge for the scientific community as well as policy makers. Last so many decades water crisis in pace of hungry situation. from the book side it has good efforts to compile the problems related to Drip irrigation at grass root level. It also describe the solution ways to over come the problems related to this efficient system.

Dr. Narpat Singh, Ph.D. a resident of Rajasthan, India. He has done B.Sc.Ag. (Hons) and M.Sc. from S.K.N.COA, Jobner and Ph.D. from RCA, MPUAT, Udaipur in Extension education. Working as an extension person to promote Agricultural Technologies to a common farmer. He has published research papers in the National and International journals.
