The power semiconductor devices have completely revolutionized the control of drives especially in the areas of control by using thyristors IGBT’s Power MOSFET etc. The methodology used in this book is simply using power electronic switching devices to rotate DC series motor at different speed by using the pulse width modulation (PWM) technique the power electronic circuit is interfaced with the PIC microcontroller which generates the required PWM signal.
