Matthias Karmasin is professor and director of the Institute for Comparative Media and Communication Studies (CMC) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Alpen-Adria University.

Daniela Kraus is managing director of fjum_forum journalism and media. Before this, the promoted historian worked in journalism, media advice and practice-oriented media research.
