This is the first of two volumes that present part of the outcome 9th World Conference on Pluricentric Languages that took place from August 26-28 2021. The volume contains fourteen contributions. All articles of this volume deal with pluricentric languages that exist in the Americas. It is the first volume of this kind that has been ever published on this topic. Section (1) contains two papers that concern the indigenous language Quechua and the Guarani-Tupi language family. Section (2) contains five papers about the pluricentricity of Spanish in the Americas. In section three about Portuguese in the Americas and worldwide there are five papers. In the last section of the volume there is a paper about the endogenous norm of French in Acadia (Canada) and a second one that gives an overview about the complex language situation of Dutch in Aruba. ********** Dies ist der erste von zwei Bänden, die einen Teil der Ergebnisse der 9. Weltkonferenz über plurizentrische Sprachen präsentieren, die vom 26. bis 28. August 2021 stattfand. Der Band enthält vierzehn Beiträge. Die Konferenz wurde von der "Working Group on Non-Dominant Varieties of Pluricentric Languages" (WGNDV) organisiert. Alle Artikel dieses Bandes befassen sich mit plurizentrischen Sprachen, die auf dem amerikanischen Kontinent existieren. Es ist der erste Band dieser Art, der jemals zu diesem Thema veröffentlicht wurde.
