Negli ultimi anni, il concetto di pratiche organizzative è diventato sempre più popolare negli studi organizzativi. Il focus della ricerca che segue un "approccio pratico" è sulle attività effettive nelle organizzazioni rispetto alle procedure prescritte o alle routine standardizzate. Questo libro parla di una categoria di pratica finora trascurata, vale a dire pratiche non apprezzate nelle organizzazioni.
