The tradition in the past was to see the resources through the eyes of natural gifts. In practice, the philosophical thrust of resource management is more towards the blended position. It is often mixed with the social and the natural contextual ground. The uni directional natural resource management paradigm provides university graduates as well as resource managers not clear idea and they often are facing problems on identification of management issues and challenges, and also confused to dig out the solutions. The philosophical dictum and notions of conventional natural resource management have been changed. The emphases have been given more towards the human or people centric perspectives.
