Sophie Taeuber-Arp (1889–1943) is one of the most important figures in Swiss art history; the New York Museum of Modern Art last honored this fascinating artist in 1983 with a widely noted retrospective. The exhibition was shown in New York, Chicago, Houston, and Montreal.
Now, on the occasion of a major exhibition in Switzerland, we are releasing a key publication on Sophie Taeuber-Arp’s works on paper—works that have a central role in her oeuvre.
This catalogue book will for the first time focus on these works on paper as a unified whole and examine them and their contexts.
