Fog Computing with Internet of Things(IOT) is the new wave of technology after the Cloud Computing. The new disruption of the upcoming technology trend of IOT brought unexpected bursts of Volume, Variety and Velocity of Data, giving rise to Big Data scenarios. In this book, first of its kind, an attempt is made to briefly present the Definitions, Architectures, Applications of Fog Computing. The new challenges that Fog Computing throws up are in Security, Privacy and Stream based Analytics for the data coming out of the IOT Devices. Latency based Application Management, Load balancing in this context are also addressed. How the conventional machine learning techniques are required too be extended and adopted to big data scenarios that arise in the context of Fog Computing. The research directions, trends and challenges in Fog Computing that are discussed specially in the context of metadata for IOT data, data management with information lakes, data provenance and mobile Fog federation and migration issues are all presented. This book is aimed at students, both under graduate and graduate, researchers, faculty and practitioners in the Industry to understand what is Fog Computing.
