Yet their share of management positions remains unacceptably low. Gender inequality or disparities between men and women is more pronounced in the developing countries of the world. Women’s participation in management and administrative posts is around 15% in Africa and 13% in Asia and the pacific. An ever-increasing number of researchers are investigating the reasons for this slow advancement of women in management as well as the growing phenomenon of female entrepreneurship. both men and women now recognize gender diversity as a performance driver, while also showing that actual implementation of gender diversity measures in corporations remains limited.
