Curcuma angustifolia roxb. commonly known as tikhur in India. It is traditionally recognised as medicinal plant and also contain starch in its rhizomes. The book discussed about the Indigenous processing of tikhur for the extraction of starch traditionally done by forest tribal villagers of Bastar, Chhattisgarh and their characteristic features.
