DEMATEL technique is based on graph theory, though which we can make project and solve problem visually. Cause relationship among factors can find based on cause and effect group created with the help of this approach. An intelligible structural model can be created from the relationship between critical factors by DEMATEL. In the real world crisp values are an inadequate reflection and generally crisp values are given by the judgment of decision-making. There is a need for fuzzy set theory because the human judgments on preferences are unclear. Hence, there is a need to extend the DEMATEL method with fuzzy set theory and linguistic variables for decision-making in fuzzy environments for library science domain. This study used the fuzzy DEMATEL method to handle MCDM problem for critical factor segment in library domain. Through using this technique the complex factors are divided in cause and effect group and provide a visible casual diagram and helping in decision making for choosing the digital library software. If Librarian/Management want to apply the software, they may take help from DEMATEL to choose the softwares.
