Employee satisfaction in China is notably lower than in other Asian countries and similarly developed nations. This study examined satisfaction levels among manufacturing companies in Sichuan, focusing on demographic factors, job characteristics, and sector ownership. Results indicated that age and gender did not significantly impact satisfaction, while skill variety, task significance, feedback, and autonomy did. The study suggests that HR practices should avoid gender and age biases, emphasizing the importance of utilizing employee skills, offering engaging tasks, providing clear feedback, and ensuring autonomy in the workplace.
