Introduction :the management of the post-operative pain of endodontic treatment is searched by dealing with many factors such as chemical, mechanical or microbial factors. Some verities can predict the susceptibility of patient to post endodontic pain (age, gender, preoperative pain) which enable the dentist to anticipate this pain. Objective: the aim of this systematic review is to give details about the characteristics of post endodontic pain and its therapy and to discuss the different factors of risk which influences postoperative pain and therapy quality. Materials and methods: a broad search on the Medline database via the PubMed interface and on the google scholar platform was carried out using keywords related to the subject; An additional hand search was conducted via google; Inclusion criteria were listed for the selection of articles and a reading grid was designed for the extraction of data relating to the research question; The quality of included studies was assessed using JBI’s critical appraisal tools. Results: 22 randomized controlled trials,1 cross sectional study, 3 cohort studies and 1 case report highlighted the most determinant factors in the management.
