The current relationship between India and the United Kingdom and what the growing partnership holds for the future of the two nations—and consequently the rest of the world—is the focus of this study that combines original essays from more than three dozen thought leaders in the worlds of academia, business, politics, and the arts. The book assesses the potential for the two countries to forge an enhanced partnership and surveys the main features of a diverse and complex bilateral relationship. The essays analyze the scope for a new partnership that recognizes the role the UK can play in India’s quest for international stature. Also included are a foreword by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and a chapter by British Prime Minister David Cameron.
