The relationship between researchers and researched is of great importance to action researchers. It is usually characterized as dialogical, recognizing the competencies of both groups of actors involved. But in theory as well as in practice, it appears to be a very complex issue. The aim of this third book of the Dutch Action Research Network is to discuss a number of aspects related to that complexity. The book starts with two key contributions which present the basic theme. The first contribution develops some basic conceptual elements to analyze that relationship better. The second one is of a more theoretical nature and proposes the concept of reciprocal adequacy as the essence of the theory about that relationship.
