Henry Jones Ford (August 25, 1851 - August 29, 1925) was an American politician, journalist, university professor, and government figure. He was the American Political Science Association's president. In 1912, Woodrow Wilson named him as the Banking and Insurance Commissioner of New Jersey. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 25, 1851. At the age of seventeen, he graduated from Baltimore City College. From 1872 until 1905, Ford worked as a managing editor and editorial writer for six different newspapers in three cities: Baltimore, New York City, and Pittsburgh.
