Designed by Pablo Rovalo. 1504 pp., with nearly 1300 four-color and black-and-white plates (each with multiple images totalling thousands of illustrations). [Cited in Martin Parr and Gerry Badger, The Photobook: A History, Volume II. (London and New York: Phaidon, 2006).]. Fine in Near Fine dust jacket (slight bump to lower left front corner, else Fine) and Near Fine box (a few bumps, some wear to the extremities, and scratches to the tipped-in hologram). From Cristina Faesler Bremer: "[This is] a book about the experience of living in the Federal District. The inhabitants of one of the largest urban centres in the world are exposed to an inexhaustible cumulation of all kinds of stimuli. Before such a quantity of fortuitous and aleatory information, the free and playful association of ideas and images found in Mexico City became the ideal motor that moved our initiative." From Parr and Badger: "The result is truly a kaleidoscope, the ultimate street photographer's book, centred around 900 words and thousands of photographic images, in all styles, although colour and a broadly photojournalistic approach predominate.".
